Following the huge success of the Amazing Travelling Carnival and Sideshow, both on tour in Asia and the Middle East and at various theatres in Sydney including the Sydney Opera House, we have revised and reinvented this show as The George and Sweetpea Sideshow.
This program has been specially devised to appeal to young audiences in the eclectic array of cultures in which the company performs.
Full of bizarre thrills, unpredictability and ‘circus comes to town’ excitement, The George and Sweetpea Sideshow introduces students to the magic of theatre in an immediate and incredibly dynamic way.
They will experience vaudeville-style song and dance routines, circus standards like the flying trapeze, strange tales, wild physical comedy, magic and even animal acts.
We understand that the junior performance Loose Canon offers each year is often booked by teachers for audiences for a fairly wide age range (i.e. from early Primary to Lower Secondary).
We’re now offering three versions of this performance, for very young, middle and upper primary/lower secondary audiences. So the show will change to particularly suit the students experiencing it.
